Youth Fishing Derby

Washington Township is happy to announce that they will once again be hosting their  Annual Youth Fishing Derby on:

Time:8:00 am – 2:00 PM (8:30 AM “Cast Out” – 12:00 PM “Line In”) 

Location: Washington Township Park, 2238 S.R. 756, Moscow, OH 

Age Categories: Girls & Boys: 3-4 (Participants Only), 5 – 7, 8 – 12, & 13 – 18   

1st Grand Prize: To the contestant with the largest overall fish (Age 5 – 18) 

2nd Grand Prize: To the contestant who has caught the most overall fish (Age 5 – 18)

Age Category Prizes: Age 5 – 18: Prize in each age category for the largest fish 

Participant Package: Age 3 – 4: Package will be awarded to all children ages 3 – 4. 

Door Prizes: All participants & contestants are eligible to receive door prizes.  

           You must be present to win and only one winner’s prize awarded per participant.

This event is free of charge to all Washington Township residents and to all 2019 Washington Township Fishing Permit Holders only!   If you are not a resident you can still attend the event for a $5.00 fee, which can be paid in advance or the day of the event. If payment is made the day of the event the fee must be exact cash only. Due to the location of the event we will be unable to make change.    

Families are welcome to come and enjoy the Fishing Derby event with their children. However, only children registered in the Fishing Derby will be permitted to fish in the lake during the event. This is a catch and release event.  Lunch will be provided. Meal to include: Hot dogs, metts, brats, chips, pickles, cupcakes, cookies & drinks.

Ohio River Sweep 2019

The Ohio River Sweep is a volunteer, riverbank cleanup that extends the entire length of the Ohio River. Volunteers from the six states which border the Ohio River will remove litter at multiple  locations along the Ohio River and many of its tributaries. The Ohio River Sweep is a family-friendly event and convenient for young people, families and community organizations.
